12/1/02 - Stelfox - American Music - ‘Appalling’

While the band make waves in America James Stelfox (Starsailor Bassist) stopped to talk to Chartattack.com (Canadian Music Website) and gave his opinion on the current state of American Music.

"I think the music that's selling in North America these days is appalling, really, bands like Creed  they all sound exactly the same. I think it's quite a bad state of affairs."

"I was watching MTV for a few hours and you'll see that four or five bands in a row are all the same, to me, all these bands just sound like a cheap version of Pearl Jam. Their vocalists are just a weak Eddie Vedder."

"The kids will grow up, It's not the public's fault. It's the record companies' fault. They completely ambush MTV and VH1 with all these bands that sound alike. It's like they're sort of brainwashing these kids. It's not the kids' fault at all."
